Advanced Procedures We Perform

Our practice is equipped with a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite where we perform a variety of minimally invasive procedures for both diagnosis and treatment. Patient safety and comfort are our top priorities throughout every procedure.

Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is a critical screening tool for preventing colorectal cancer. This procedure allows the physician to examine the entire lining of the colon (large intestine) for polyps, tumors, inflammation, or other abnormalities. It is the gold standard for colorectal cancer screening and is also used to investigate symptoms like chronic diarrhea, bleeding, or abdominal pain.

Upper Endoscopy (EGD)

An Upper Endoscopy, also known as an EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy), is used to examine the lining of your esophagus, stomach, and the first part of your small intestine (the duodenum). It is performed to investigate symptoms such as persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, nausea, bleeding, or upper abdominal pain.

Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

Similar to a colonoscopy, this procedure examines the lining of the lower part of the colon, known as the sigmoid colon. It is often used to investigate bleeding or pain in the lower bowel.

Capsule Endoscopy

A non-invasive procedure where you swallow a small, pill-sized camera. The capsule travels through your digestive tract, taking thousands of pictures that are transmitted to a recorder you wear. This allows us to examine areas of the small intestine that cannot be easily reached by traditional endoscopy.
